I share my fellow Iowans' grave concerns about the course our country has taken in recent years.

As energy experts remind us, efficiency is far cheaper than fuel.  Energy efficiency is the cheapest, cleanest, fastest way to reduce energy consumption and energy costs.  Consistent with this point, my primary energy focus would be greater energy efficiency. 

Like many Iowans, I am convinced we must extract our forces swiftly from our misguided involvement in Iraq without endangering our ground troops there.

Over the years, no single issue has stymied Washington and our entire political system more than healthcare.
